I'm playuing this right now and I'm fucking raging. The whole gun-and-slashing thing looks awesome, but maybe there are alternatives. It sickens me that so many games these days need dozens of buttons to work. My idea of the perfect videogame involves a d-pad with a few action buttons. I'm no hardcore gamer, I'll give you that, but there are quite a few current-gen games out there I happily completed or AT LEAST happened to finish the first boss on without too much difficulty.

This game reminds me of how excited I was to get Sonic 2 on my old game gear, only to find out the first boss was nearly impossible to defeat (and later to find out that the later bosses were actually easier! Is someone at Sonic Team smoking crack?!) HOWEVER, I wasn't alone in that ordeal. If the first boss was that difficult, then I couldn't bear to understand how difficult the final boss would be. I tried 3 times to beat the bastard and I just couldn't. I had my ass handed to me and I couldn't find a difficulty switch anywhere in the game. What the hell? Completely different story. It seemed like a lot of fun until I reached the first boss. I also had a real PS2 controller connected to my computer via game controller USB converter. The visuals looked pretty decent for a PS2-to-PC port. I could have been out $20 or something.įighting the first batch of enemies was a piece of cake the controls seemed easy enough and it played at a fluid 60 fps on my PC.

Luckily for me I didn't buy the damn game and actually downloaded a trial of it instead. I had watched an old friend play this game a good while back on PS2 and found out it was available for PC. Go ahead and say what you want, but I'm absolutely flabbergasted as to why I can't get past the first damn boss on this game.
